With hearts filled with gratitude to God, the Bangui Community joyfully shares with all members of the Institute of Apostles of Jesus Crucified the significant events that took place within the community during the months of April and June 2026. These moments have been signs of God’s continued faithfulness and a source of encouragement for the growth of our religious family, especially in the promotion and perseverance of vocations.
1. Admission to the Ministry of Acolyte and Lectorate – 25th April 2026
On Saturday, 25th April 2026, the Feast of Saint Mark the Evangelist, the Bangui Community experienced a grace-filled moment at St. Mark Major Seminary Bimbo, Bangui. During the celebration, our brothers received admission to the instituted ministries as part of their ongoing preparation for the sacred ministry.
Brother Sixtus Chimezie was admitted to the ministry of Acolyte, while Brother Peter Kivuva was admitted to the ministry of Lector.

The celebration was presided by The Most Reverend Bertrand Guy Richard Appora-Ngalanibé, Bishop of Bambari and held in the spirit of the Feast of Saint Mark, reminded all present of the call to proclaim the Gospel and serve God’s people with humility and dedication. The ministry of Lector invites one to become a faithful servant of the Word of God, while the ministry of Acolyte calls one to a deeper participation in the service of the altar and the Eucharistic mystery.
The Bangui Community gives thanks to God for this important step in the formation journey of these brothers. We pray that they may continue to grow in faith, commitment, and love for Christ, becoming instruments for the salvation of souls and the building up of the Church.
2. First Religious Profession of Brothers Philip Chidera and Emmanuel Chibueze – 7th June 2026
On Sunday, 7th June 2026, the Bangui Community celebrated another important moment of grace: the First Religious Profession of Brothers Ede Philip CHIDERA and Ezeme Emmanuel CHIBUEZE into the Institute of Apostles of Jesus Crucified.
The profession was received in the hands of the Secretary General, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Marie Sallantin, who acted as the delegate of the Superior General.

This solemn celebration marked a decisive step in the lives of these two brothers, as they publicly expressed their desire to follow Christ more closely through the evangelical counsels and the charism of our Institute. Their “yes” to God is a reminder that religious vocation remains a precious gift from the Lord and a testimony of His continuous call among His people.
The Bangui Community rejoices with the entire Institute for this blessing and entrusts Brothers Philip and Emmanuel to the prayers of all members. May their religious journey be strengthened by grace, fidelity, and a deep spirit of service according to the spirituality of the Apostles of Jesus Crucified.
May this profession inspire other young people to listen attentively to God’s voice and courageously respond to His call.

3. Theology Defense of Brother Sixtus Chimezie – 12th June 2026
On Friday, 12th June 2026, Brother Sixtus Chimezie successfully presented and defended his theological work at St. Mark Major Seminary Bimbo, Bangui.
This academic event represented an important stage in his theological formation and preparation for future service in the Church. The defense demonstrated the importance of sound theological formation in preparing future ministers who are called to proclaim the Gospel with wisdom, faithfulness, and pastoral charity.
The Bangui Community thanks God for this achievement and appreciates the dedication of all formators, professors, and those who accompany our brothers in their journey of formation. We continue to pray that Brother Sixtus may remain faithful to Christ and generously offer his gifts for the mission of the Church and the Institute.

Conclusion
Looking back on these events, the Bangui Community recognizes the abundant blessings received from the Lord. The admission to ministries, the first religious profession, and the theological defense are not only personal milestones but also moments of joy for the entire Institute of Apostles of Jesus Crucified.
We entrust these brothers and the whole Institute to the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and all our heavenly patrons. May the Lord continue to call more young men to serve Him, and may our community remain a fruitful ground for the growth of holy and committed vocations.
